  • Nick Ortoleva

    GYMGUYZ Owner

    After spending over 30 years in sales and leadership in the corporate world, I decided to engage in my passion for helping people by opening a GYMGUYZ franchise in the Indianapolis area.  I have personally benefitted from exercise and I love seeing the impact that fitness can have on peoples lives.  I enjoy being married to my wife Cara and being with my two sons Damien and Owen, and I am very passionate about giving back to the community through volunteer activities.  Also I love dogs and always bring treats for my clients furry friends!

    As the Territory Manager for GYMGUYZ- Indianapolis, it is my role to connect individuals with varying goals of improving their health to one of our certified personal trainers. From there, proper nutrition, effective training, as well as small changes in everyday habits all come together to form our blueprint for success. It is my belief that every individual, regardless of where they come from or where they currently are in life, can improve their overall health/wellness and become a better version of themselves. Change is not always easy, and is more difficult for some than others, but with the proper guidance and motivation we are all capable of so much more than we think!

    In 2021 I became a personal trainer to pursue my passion of helping others find joy in fitness while improving their quality of life. Incorporating regular exercise routines into my life has greatly benefitted my health and I love watching as people prioritize their fitness journey as well!

    I became a certified personal trainer when I finally successfully reached my weight loss goal after many failed attempts and realized my real passion was motivating others.  I struggled with my nutrition for many years and had many creative excuses not to exercise. I found myself very overweight and unable to climb the steps to my front door without getting winded. Eventually, I decided enough was enough and joined the gym. Determined to achieve my goals I worked hard, experimented with diets and exercise classes, overcame failures, and changed my life. I want to use my skills, my knowledge, and my experience to help others.

    I care about my clients, and there’s nothing more fulfilling to me than helping someone reach their goals and improve their quality of life.  I know how hard it can be to make lifestyle changes; whether you want to lose weight, improve your health, become a better athlete or any other goal you may have, I want to be there for those who want to bring about change. I want to help you discover the benefits of fitness!

    Fitness has always been a part of my life in some capacity. As a former high school and division 1 college athlete, I’ve been around a lot of strength coaches and trainers, and have been able to see both the good and bad in the industry over multiple decades. I am a competitive powerlifter and coach and enjoy giving back to the sport by refereeing and directing meets. I’ve been a personal trainer for 5 years and continue to thoroughly enjoy the process of helping others change their lives. My favorite part about being a trainer is witnessing the hope for change that fitness can give people and seeing it carry over into other aspects of their lives.

    With an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and currently pursuing a Master's in athletic training, I have found my passion in helping people of all ages appreciate their ability to move! I am a strong believer in the idea of "Movement is Medicine" and believe all fitness goals are achievable with grit and discipline. When I am not in the gym myself, you can find me exploring local food shops, thrift shopping, hanging out with my loved ones & enjoying the sunshine.

    I hope to provide all my clients with the tools needed to be successful on their fitness journey by creating an environment that is fun, goal-oriented, and achievable.

  • Mariah Neal

    Personal Trainer

    I was first certified as a personal trainer 10 years ago and since then I have become a mother, a dog mom, and am currently engaged. As a trainer my main focus is to help inspire others to fall in love with a healthy and fit way of life. I have experience with 1:1 training of all ages, and group training. I'm certified as a precision nutrition coach and plan on continuing my education and learning as much as I can on my journey to help others. I have a passion for training other moms who have gone through the same struggles that I have with core strength and balancing my family life and personal fitness goals.

    I was in the fitness industry for many years as an instructor. When I started my family, I focused more on my professional career and raising my boys. Now that I am an empty nester and have an established professional career, I decided to get back into the fitness industry. I stayed active while raising my boys and often took them running with me or to the gym to lift. In 2019, I competed in a bodybuilding contest and overcame many past obstacles. I have had many approach me about health and wellness and realized there is a real need to help others get healthy and become the best version of themselves. I got my elite trainer certification in 2020 and love working with GYMGUYZ! My positivity and highly energized personality make me easily relatable and can put my clients at ease during their workouts! I’m excited to change the lives of those that I work with and enjoy being their #1 cheerleader!!

    Kip is a husband and father of five with a distinct passion for fitness. With just under four years of personal and group training under his belt, he has touched over 100 people's lives, rocketing them towards their goals. From getting strong to getting slim and everything in between, Kip has seen it all. His vibrant personality and positive attitude are sure to put a smile on your face even through the most grueling of workouts.
