  • Clyde Horton

    Owner/Trainer

    Clyde is a former financial executive with extensive experience in finance and operations management. He has proven success in leading resources across multiple functions, work groups, and management levels. After spending 25 years in the corporate world, Pittsburgh local and Duquesne University graduate Clyde Horton wanted a change. The former college hockey player always had a passion for athletics and fitness, and now, he is bringing his passion for fitness to Pittsburgh residents with GYMGUYZ. Clyde feels that in-home personal training helps to bridge the gap between your busy schedule and the inconvenience of going to the gym. He met his wife at a neighboring high school and has been married to Margaret for over 25 years. They are the proud parents of Camren and Caden. Aside from his work, he spends his leisure time working out and training with his sons, golfing, playing softball, or chilling with his dog (Zeke).

  • David Lorenzi

    Territory Manager

    David Lorenzi, Ed.D., is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a GYMGUYZ Territory Manager. David is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer, an ACSM Inclusive Fitness Trainer, and an ACSM Autism Exercise Specialist. David is also a Certified Adapted Physical Educator and has spent his entire career working with individuals with disabilities in a variety of physical activity settings. For 17 years, David was the Director of the Special Needs Activity Program (SNAP) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, has served as a Special Olympics board member and coach, and has taught swimming and skiing to individuals with disabilities. David played soccer collegiately at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and has been a long-time soccer coach. David lives in Latrobe with his wife, Melissa, and children Marina, Nico, and Ava. In his free time, David enjoys reading, trail running, hiking, and cycling.

  • Beth Shaw

    Certified Personal Trainer

    Beth is an Ace Certified Personal Trainer who has been training and teaching group classes for over ten years. She loves the opportunity to prove that every person has the ability to not only reach whatever health and fitness goals they may have but also to truly feel comfortable in their own skin. She has worked with many populations including kids through individuals in their 90's, people with special needs, athletes, and those who may be hesitant to start for whatever reason.

    She has a BS in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh and an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from the International Culinary Degree, Le Cordon Bleu. A career in fitness came from a personal love of exercise and healthy eating and the want to help people to find the strength and confidence they have within themselves to reach any dream they may have for their health.

    In her free time, she enjoys yoga, baking, and playing anything and everything with her daughter.

  • Brian Polcawich

    Certified Personal Trainer

    Ever since an early age, Brian has always enjoyed being active and was involved with extracurricular activities such as football and wrestling. During his time in sports, he developed a strong passion for health and fitness that has carried over to adulthood. The discipline and passion that he possesses, has translated into him wanting to help others reach their fitness goals. He believes that there are no bounds to what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Waynesburg University. He obtained his personal certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
