Doug GYMGUYZ OwnerDoug GYMGUYZ OwnerHaving worked with personal trainers myself, I saw how my physique and health changed dramatically. I was sold on how important it is to mix up your workouts, in order not to plateau. This is where the desire to own and run a GYMGUYZ franchise started. Being able to help people become healthy and fit is a wonderful career, and one that matches my desire to continue to be active throughout my life. After losing both my parents to cancer, fitness has become even more important to me.
The potential of owning my own business, in an area that I am extremely passionate about, is exciting. My passion for connecting with people and helping others to stay fit and help to grow my own business will only add to the GYMGUYZ core values.
"Never say never."
Played baseball and golf in my youth. Built a gym in my backyard shed to stay in shape while playing on a traveling baseball team. Throughout my life fitness has been very important. A personal highlight was hiking Half Dome in Yosemite after the age of 50 and scaling the famous part of Half Dome’s ascent up the cable route 400 feet to the summit without rock climbing equipment!
The wonderful Leslie, my sweet, gorgeous girlfriend.
The beautiful and incredible Shelby, my daughter.

I do a lot of HIIT training and circuit training utilizing creative circuits and various exercises with accessories such as battle ropes and Bosu balls. I like to go hiking and walking. My husband and I play tennis, although we're pretty awful at it. And of course I like to do my abdominal exercising while binging shows on Netflix.
