    Fitness Background
    Certified personal coach (trainer) with a specialty in group fitness training. James earned his certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. James brings a wide ranging skill set to his clients along with his energetic and spirited personality. He began honing his training skills in his college days where he played football as an offensive lineman for Sacred Heart University.

    Additionally, he earned his Communications degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2012. When he is not inspiring his clients to reach their goals, James can be found motivating kids in his community as he serves as a youth sports coach. James seeks to bring out the inner athlete in all his clients regardless of age or ability. His passion for basketball football and sports is reflected in every training session as he teaches, motivates and inspires his clients to reach their goals.

    Fitness Background
    I has been working out and training since high school where I realized that if I wanted to excel in sports, being physically stronger than my opponent was an essential ingredient.

    Once I joined the work force, co-workers would approach me and ask how to get themselves into shape. This is when it hit me to make a career out of helping others doing something that I love and can relate to on a daily basis. From there, I knew that fitness coaching was my life's goal!. I signed on as the first GYMGUYZ franchisee with my best friend since Pre-K and have loved every day since!

    I am an avid golfer but has also have a passion for other sports such as football and baseball.

    My Mission
    My purpose and mission in life is to do what I love! For me, waking up everyday to help people live longer, healthier lives is a passion on mine and something that keeps me motivated! My passion for fitness is shown in every session I conduct.

    - I earned my duel personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports and the International Sports Science Association.
    - I earned my Bachelors of Science from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with degrees in Finance and Operations Management.

    Alycia is an NFPT Certified Personal Trainer with formal education in corrective exercise and prehabilitation techniques. This means that not only will she give you an amazing workout with the results you are looking for, but she can help you with pain you may be experiencing, any mobility and stability issues within the joints, certain injuries if they are not severe, and musculature imbalances so that the body may function as a balanced unit. Alycia advocates for holistic health because mental and emotional health are just as important as physical. Up keeping a mindfulness meditation practice, she is able to mange her emotional and mental states with more clarity and peace. Alycia enjoys cooking, baking, eating, weight lifting, circuit training, yoga, hiking, camping, canoeing, and spending time with her dog, family, and friends, on a regular basis. It is the passion for teaching that allows Alycia to put her all into each and every client, creating fun and effective workouts to meet their goals.

    Eddie is a National Academy for Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer. At a very young age Ed got involved in sports, playing baseball, football and Wrestling. This involvement is what sparked his interest in fitness. For the last 10 years Ed has been pursuing a career in fitness and sharing his knowledge and experiences with his Clients and Peers. Through further education, he received certifications in Kettlebell Training and Rotational Exercise Training. His passion for fitness has also triggered an interest in Human Body Science and has Ed strongly focused on form and corrective exercise. Ed’s diverse training background enables him to help his clients achieve and surpass their training goals. He wants to inspire his clients and help them find the same passion that he has found in fitness.

    George is a Westchester native. He is certified personal trainer with the National College of Exercise Professional and ASSI, who has devoted his life to health, fitness and sports. George is a collegiate athlete and mixed martial artists currently playing semi-professional Rugby in White Plains NY. He began his profession fitness career over 8 years ago when he became a Mixed Martial arts instructor for a well know mixed martial arts gym in New York. Taking his role as an instructor and growing it into being head kids instructor and running the kids program for over 4 years. In addition, he taught the adult martial arts program as well as helping in creating and implementing a women’s only fitness program.

    George has worked with a wide age range of clients with the same goal in mind; helping change lives whether it is through mixed martial arts, general fitness, or competitive sports. George took his love for competition and sports and ran with it competing in over 25 Brazilian jiu jitsu tournaments and winning countless medals, as well as being an undefeated Mixed Martian Arts Fighter.

    During his fitness and athletic journey George had a hunger to learn to become more physically fit. Which lead to become a certified trainer and which keeps him learning and developing new programs and was to train. George has devoted his life to fitness and helping everyone find that edge they need to improve whether it’s finding a unique way for athletes to reach there full potential, or taking the “average” person out of there comfort zone and helping them crush there goals!

    Jake’s passion for sports and exercise began at a young age, playing both football and lacrosse. Realizing he wasn’t going to be the tallest athlete, he realized he needed to be one of the strongest so he turned to working out. With over 5 years of experience, and being a recent graduate of Guilford College, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science while playing 4 years for the men’s lacrosse team. In addition to playing in college, Jake has spent the last two summers spreading the game of lacrosse in Israel and playing in the professional lacrosse league known as the Israel Premier Lacrosse League (IPLL). Throughout his experience he coached at-risk Israeli youth players, demonstrated lacrosse clinics at local schools, and won two national championships for Be’er Sheva Lacrosse Club (LC) in IPLL.

    Jake also worked with the strength coach for the Men’s lacrosse team where he designed and implemented position specific workouts for the players. Jake brings his passion for physical fitness, health, and wellness to GYMGUYZ, as well as use his knowledge of exercise science to help each client reach their goals!

    Kara is an ACE certified personal trainer and has worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years before joining the GYMGUYZ team. Kara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy/Recreation Management from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY and has a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management at Mercy College.

    Kara was a fitness specialist at Burke Rehabilitation Center for several years working with an adult population. She specialized in rehabilitating injuries as well as post stroke patients, Parkinson’s disease, COPD, and post cardiac rehabilitation clients. Kara has also trained at various studios and small Gyms in Westchester County. She is a firm believer in circuit and interval training.
