Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer globally, it is estimated that 30% of newly diagnosed cancer in women will be breast cancer. About 1 in 8 U.S women will develop breast cancer. The major factors that affect breast cancer is sex and age. Although breast cancer can be found in males it is rare, around 1% of diagnoses are found in men.

Although we don’t have a cure for breast cancer there are many things we can do to help reduce the risk of breast cancer.

  1. Eat more vegetables
  2. Limit fast foods
  3. Exercise
  4. weight management
  5. Limit Alcohol consumption

How to get involved!

Anyone can get involved to help in the fight against breast cancer. There are many organizations that we can connect with to join the fight. The American Cancer Society is a great organization to get involved in. They provided volunteering, donations, and fundraising opportunities to anyone who is looking to help.
