At a young age, I have been involved in various sports, which has given me a deep understanding of the importance of staying physically active. However, it was during an internship at a physical therapy clinic that I truly grasped the significance of rehabilitation for different client populations. This experience ignited my curiosity about the health benefits of exercise. After college, my interest in personal training blossomed, and I found fulfillment in guiding individuals through their fitness journeys. Over the past three years, I have adopted a holistic approach to training, prioritizing learning my clients’ needs and goals, and striving to help them be 1% better each day.

I am a native of the Tidewater area growing in Chesapeake, Virginia. Throughout my life I have always been an athlete whether on the track, basketball court, and mainly on the baseball field. As a collegiate athlete, I grew a passion for fitness and helping others succeed in their goals. While at Radford University, I graduated with bachelors in strength and conditioning. After spending time with athletic teams, I realized being a trainer is what I wanted to become. My philosophy is “move well, live well”. The ability to stay active and move only leads to a healthier outlook on life.

Most people call me “Nette”. I started personal training in 2016 as a hobby and decided to make it a full-time career in 2023. I specialize in strength / muscle building, kickboxing, self-defense, senior fitness, performance training, and fat loss and toning. I can personally relate to those who struggle with being overweight, being that I was for the majority of my life, until I learned how to achieve my own fitness goals and transform my body. Now I help others attain their own similar results in a tailored fashion. My purpose as a trainer is to educate clients on the importance of consistency. Not just with regular workouts, but in lifestyle changes for longevity and higher quality of life.

I’m a nationally recognized personal trainer and nutrition specialist with ISSA and have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from THE James Madison University. However, my pursuit of knowledge does not stop there. I’m obtaining a Master Training status through the completion specializations in DNA-based fitness coaching, transformation, strength and conditioning, and group personal training. I began working out during the Pandemic and quickly fell in love with training, specifically helping others achieve their own fitness and lifestyle goals. I believe that working alongside my clients and using a hands-on, active style of training is the best way to help people take back control of their lives. “I am very humbled and honored to be a part of the GYMGUYZ family and culture.
