Recipe of the Week: Simple Grilled Steak
There are just some days when you want to spoil yourself— Sleep in, get a massage, read a book, have a few drinks, and maybe grill yourself a nice juicy steak. If you’re in need of one of those days, this recipe is your go-to. In no time flat, you’ll have a perfectly cooked steak to satisfy your craving (and maybe even some leftovers). Pamper away, friends!
4 – 1 ¼ – 1 ½ inch thick strip steaks or filets
A few tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
- Allow the steaks to come to room temperature (about 20 minutes)
- Preheat the grill (high)
- Brush steaks on each side with EVOO and rub with salt and pepper
- Slap ‘em on the grill and flip after about 5 minutes (when starting to char). Grill on second side for about 2-3 minutes for medium-rare or about 5 minutes longer for a more well-done steak.
- Remove from grill and let cool a few minutes before serving!
