RECIPE OF THE WEEK SWEET (OR SAVORY) POTATO FRIES

Side or snack? You decide the fate of these delicious sweet potato fries. Packed with good stuff like Vitamin A, fiber, and B12, these fries put a much healthier spin on everyone’s favorite fast food. Bonus: They taste so good that you won’t even know they’re good FOR you.

Choose between a savory style or a sweeter version to quell your sweet tooth. We highly recommend playing around with your favorite spices and creating your own version (and feel free to send our way!). How good do Cajun sweet potato fries sound? We hope your mouth is watering by this point. Lucky for you, these are pretty quick to make. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS (SAVORY):

  • 2 lbs. sweet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • Salt & pepper
  • Ketchup or chipotle ranch

INGREDIENTS (SWEET):

  • 2 lbs. sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. melted coconut oil
  • 1½ tsp. cinnamon
  • Sprinkle of sugar
  • Local raw honey

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Add your desired spices into a large bowl.
  • If you’re leaving the skin on your potatoes, be sure to scrub them really well. Cut into thin fry-style strips (about ¼ inch thickness), toss in oil, and then toss in the spices.
  • Spread onto the baking sheet and bake until browned (about 30 minutes) to make sure they get nice and crispy.
  • Serve with your favorite sauce.
