  • Kristin

    GYMGUYZ Owner

    Kristin Doherty is passionate about fitness and is excited to have launched GYMGUYZ Williamsburg in January 2020. Kristin has a BBA in Finance from the College of William and Mary, her MBA from UVA Darden School of Business and recently has achieved her Personal Training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is a mom with a seven-year-old daughter Annabelle and three-year-old son Shepard. She and her husband, Matt, met at William and Mary her sophomore year and relocated back to Williamsburg five years ago.

    Kristin saw the benefits one-on-one training provided her mother who had multiple sclerosis as well as herself post-partum and is excited to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. She is quite competitive in nature and played almost every sport growing up (swimming, tennis, soccer, softball, volleyball, track, basketball). She recently has enjoyed getting back into tennis and loves her barre workouts. On the weekend, you will find her family on the playground or at the farmer’s market in nice weather.

    Head Coach

    James Scott is a Former Towson University football player with over 10 years of experience in fitness and personal training. James found his passion for fitness while playing football. He fell in love with the process of improving his fitness level and now loves to help other people do the same.

    James is a certified personal trainer with both ISSA and NCSF. He uses a combination of many different exercise styles to help clients achieve their goals. He has experience in CrossFit, yoga, bodybuilding and many other exercise styles. James uses this experience to keep exercises fun and exciting while also challenging clients in different ways. Most of all James loves to see his clients reach their goals.

    Certifications and Fitness Degrees: Kamauria played collegiate basketball and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Park University. She has a Master in Community Psychology from the American University in Cairo, Egypt where she taught refugees from neighboring countries. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and CPR/AED and First Aid Certified

    Certifications/College Degree(s): Emmanuel achieved his BBA in Business from Farmingdale State College. He loves fitness and has his Focus Personal Training Institute Certificate of Completion and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. He is also CPR/AED and First Aid Certified. He has worked for several years with the Arc organization and is certified in Adaptive Special Needs Trainer Certification Level 1 and Level 2 and as an Adaptive Needs Group Instructor
