Kristin has a BBA in Finance from the College of William and Mary, her MBA from UVA Darden School of Business and has her Personal Training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Emmanuel started his fitness and nutrition journey in 2015, initially wanting to live a healthier lifestyle after a life changing experience. He worked out in his home for a year before joining a gym in 2016 and getting into weightlifting. Emmanuel took a nutrition course in college and began independent nutritional and exercise study during his free time. While living abroad in Beijing, China he began training coworkers at the local, which started the trainer bug.

After returning to the U.S. in 2020 he studied personal training at Focus Personal Training Institute and received a certificate of completion. He then received his NASM CPT in early February 2021. In June of 2021, Emmanuel moved to Virginia and began working at GYMGUYZ Williamsburg. In September of the same year, he received his Special Strong Adaptive Needs certification to train individuals with disabilities. Since then, he has been involved in personal training and teaching adaptive needs clients about fitness at the Arc of Greater Williamsburg with Alex.

Christian Maldonado was born and raised in New York City, where he loved to play every and any sport available to him. He is ex-military with three tours to Iraq and held a pt score of over 300 for most of his military career. After the military, he took a break away from working and fitness where it led him to becoming very sedentary and stiff to the point where he wasn’t able to play with his children, Annaleicia and Christian. He worked hard for years to return back to great health and form.

Along the way, he fell in love with his fitness journey trying out different forms and styles of training including bodybuilding, Zumba, yoga, hiit, boxing, etc. He finally decided to share his love and passion for fitness by picking up his NASM CPT, CPR/AED certification and has been with GYMGUYZ since January 2022.
