As a personal trainer, there are several ways you can advance your career:
Certification: Consider obtaining advanced certifications in personal training, such as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). These certifications can demonstrate your expertise and increase your credibility with clients.
GYMGUYZ partners with both NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) & ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) and often hires many of our trainers for our Franchise Partners from graduates of these programs.
Education: Pursue continuing education opportunities to stay current on the latest training techniques and trends in the fitness industry. Consider taking courses in areas like injury prevention, sports nutrition, and behavioral change.
Every year at GYMGUYZ we hold our annual Recharge event where trainers and owners can learn from industry leaders, well known independent trainers, and other Franchise Partners/Trainers to get an idea of new tips and strategies to implement in their day to day practice.
Specialization: Most trainers consider specializing in a specific population or area of fitness, such as seniors, athletes, or pre- and post-natal fitness. GYMGUYZ hires personal trainers of all these different specialties so that we can serve ANY and ALL clients within our territories.
Management: If you’re interested in management, consider taking on a leadership role at a fitness facility or starting your own personal training business. This can provide opportunities for professional growth and financial advancement.
The career path of a personal trainer at GYMGUYZ is a priority for our Franchise Partners. This is how most of our successful Franchises scale their business to larger and larger territories. We often encourage our trainers to then grow in to a Territory Manager position. Then once the business continues to grow, they can go own to be a General Manager, or even a Franchise Partner of their own.
Remember, the key to advancing your career as a personal trainer is to continuously strive for growth and improvement. Once those steps are covered on the basic level, the opportunities are built into our system for you to grow along side the business.https://www.youtube.com/embed/rffAL50NP20
